抄録

Dataflow computers are parallel computers of which the hardware is optimized for fine grain parallel computation. The dataflow computer architecture is recognized as one of the next generation supercomputer architectures. The principles of the dataflow execution and the general dataflow architectures are presented. Some aspects of the dataflow machines are discussed compared with von Neumann computers. Research activities on dataflow computers are described with the introduction of a largest conventional dataflow computer. The research of the new generation dataflow computers which is intented to overcome the defect of the conventional dataflow computers is described. One example of this new architecture is presented.
