備長炭電池は,備長炭とアルミニウム箔,食塩水などを用いて簡単に作ることができる電池であり,中学校理科の教科書にも掲載されている。本研究は,負極と正極の反応をアルミニウムの質量分析や,酸素濃度の測定により定量的に示し,備長炭電池の仕組みについて改めて考察するものである。
