The single input rule modules connected fuzzy inference model with consequent fuzzy sets (SIRMs model with CFB) by Yi et al. can decrease the number of fuzzy rules drastically in comparison with the conventional fuzzy inference models. However, the property of the SIRMs model with CFB has not been clarified. In this paper, we clarify the property of the SIRMs model with CFB, from the point of view of equivalence and monotonicity. Moreover, the SIRMs model with CFB is shown to be superior to the conventional SIRMs model by applying to a medical diagnosis system.
