Solar cooker is a general term for devices to cook foods with the direct sun light. In developing countries their validity is gradually recognized among the people who are short of fuel woods. On the other hand, solar cookers are not very popular in industrialized countries although their history dates back to the mid 18th century. However, despite their low saturation level, many educators think solar cookers as ideal tools to enlighten children on fundamental physics and renewable energy. In this study, we report on the kit of box type solar cooker newly developed by ourselves as educational materials.
