Description
The aim of the present paper is to examine the better harmonious color relation of living-room in european style and japanese style and to suggest reference data as to creation an interior design for representing each image. Two model living-rooms of the european style and japanese style which arranged interior spaces with sofa, carpet and curtain were constructed by using 3D vision. Thirty three kinds of experimental color samples were selected in setting up harmonious colors for the interior spaces. Obtained these colors were painted as looking interior parts on the monitor of computer graphics. The test to image were executed by using these color stimuli of living-room. Results were obtained as follows: The visual impressions of colors in both living-room of european style and japasese style are composed of three factors: evaluation, activity and potency. The factors of evaluation and potency are influenced by the hue. The factor of activity is influenced by tone. The warm colors arranged in three colors keeping relation of similarity hue match well. Also, these colors which are lower chroma and higher value are much better harmony in living-room.
