抄録

Fire extinction by water mists has been researched because it doesn't damage electronic equipments like sprinkler and water doesn't harm the environment like Halons. This paper shows the results of a numerical simulation on mist motion in flow field with diffusion flame and water mists. In this simulation, water mists or one droplet was set away from a flame axis and we compared motion of one water droplet with that of a group of water droplets. Comparisons of those show that a group of water mists makes strong downburst so that motion of water mists differs from that of one droplet.
