Abstract

An three-dimensional Numerical Wave Tank (3D-NWT) has been developed for simulating unsteady, incompressible flows with free surface based on the Volume Of Fluid (VOF) method. In this paper, the validity of the 3D-NWT was checked by comparing the numerical results with the theoretical ones for wave profiles. Then, the application of the 3D-NWT for square cylinder problems is presented.
