抄録

A good human interface device is necesary for robots which are to be used by general public or those who are not engineers and not familiar with technical details of the robots. This paper proposes a new, portable, hand-held interface device. It is spheroidal, light, and easy to operate. It has a 3 axis accelerometer and three gyroscopes. We verified the device generates appropriate signals, when an operator moves and shakes the device, and successfully distinguished human hand movement by analyzing the signals.
