New Records of the Oriental Genera of Chloropinae (Diptera, Chloropidae) from Japan and Taiwan, with Descriptions of Two New Species

Five species of the Oriental genera, Coniochlorops DUDA, Formosina BECKER, Metopostigma BECKER, and Neoloxotaenia SABROSKY from Japan, and one species of the genus Coniochlorops DUDA from Taiwan are newly recognized. Metopostigma japonicum and Metopostigma nigritriangulum from Japan are new to science. Formosina cincta DE MEIJERE, Formosina lucens (DE MEIJERE), Metopostigma sauteri BECKER, and Neoloxotaenia gracilis (DE MEIJERE) are additionally recorded from Taiwan. The male genitalia of four known specie are illustrated for the first time. Keys to the species of the genera Formosina BECKER and Metopostigma BECKER are presented.
