Description

Therapeutic selective adsorption columns composed of antigen, antibody and synthetic ligands were reviewed. The characteristics of the interactions between ligands and the adsorbed pathogenic proteins based on biological or physicochemical affinity were compared. Among these columns, the development processes and characteristics of therapeutic dextran sulfate cellulose column, which selectively adsorbs anti-DNA antiboby(Selesorb),were described in detail.
