The antiferro-quadrupolar (AFQ) ordering in magnetic fields is studied theoretically for typical materials CeB_6 and TmTe. It is found that the nature and the mechanism of field-induced multipoles are important. Physically they stabilize the AFQ phase in magnetic fields, giving the enhancement of transition temperature. Experimentally it becomes possible to identify the hidden AFQ order parameter by observing the field-induced multipoles. These problems are analyzed for CeB_6 and TmTe
