Description
Two-dimensional interaction of Modified-KdV solitons, which are models of weakly nonlinear wave motion of various type of fluid, is investigated. In the case that the difference of propagation directions of the solitons is small, the governing equation is Modified KP equation. We numerically investigate the development from the initial condition which is the superposition of two solitons. Two types of initial condition are used; one is that both solitons have same positive amplitude and the other that their amplitude have different sign. In both cases the dependence of the difference of propagation direction on soliton interaction is discussed.
