Abstract

Up to now, the study of the establishing process of bureaucratic system in early Japan has met several difficulties. Most of them result from the lack of reliable resources of Bureaucratic system and personnel affairs. This is why we produce database of personnel affairs of bureaucratic system in early Japan. This database is produced from "Nin'kai Nitiroku" i.e. "Diary of appointment and dismissal" which had compiled by Imperial House Keeping Ministry. Using this database, scholars of modern Japanese history can approach (1) the personnel record of each bureaucrat, (2) the successive list of any post in Dajokan bureaucratic system and (3) the chart of the bureaucratic structure in any date.
