Description
Remote procedure call is the distributed processing model of client-server systems which are widely used distributed systems. On the other hand, sequential executions of programs on distributed hosts have been the model of distributed real-time systems research. In this paper, we study deadline assignment to distributed subtasks that cooperate to provide a function so that the deadline of the function is satisfied. We assume subtask executions are requested by remote procedure call. We provide deadline assignment algorithms and also give some preliminary evaluation results.
