Description
As resonance condition of microwave oven cavity depends on the kind of food and shape of it, microwave oven has a problem of uneven heating. It is required to design the cavity which there is hardly uneven heating. This paper reports that the electromagnetic field distribution in the cavity was analyzed by finite element method using rectangular edge elements for rejecting spurious solution. Further, the power distribution in the cavity was measured using fluorescent optic thermo-sensor, and the analyzed distribution was compared with the measured one. As a result, we found that the analyzed distribution was agree with the distributions obtained from other methods of analyses and the measurement.
