Description
Using a frequency multiplier, the phase difference between two signals can be extended.Applying this method to a receiving array, the spacing between elements can be reduced and then an array for HF band is miniaturized effectively. This paper reports that 2 and 4-elements array both using a Phase Locked Loop as a frequency multiplier can be miniaturized 9.6% and 6.4% in total length respectively, and frequency characteristics of their radiation patterns are less varied.Calculated radiation pattern with mutual coupling, using induced E.M.F.method and methods of Moment for monopole elements on the infinite ground plane, coincide with the measured values.
