Description

In classifying the landscape images into two categories that called natural landscape and artificial landscape, there is relation between the classified images and their characteristics of direction and regulation. We suggest the method of extracting those two characteristics using morphological filter, and present experiments of the discrimination that classify the landscape image into natural landscape and artificial landscape. From the results of experiments, on the method of extracting a image characteristic of direction, it was extracted by operating morphological basic operation "Opening" using plural structuring elements that had directional characteristic and calculating dispersion of those results. On the method of extracting a image characteristic of regulation, a difference of the characteristic between two categories was extracted.
