Abstract
In order to foster the production engineer that many graduates will be assigned, it will be one of the most importantways that engineering experiment is enhanced in college. In this study, improving two experiments of cylindercompression test and extrusion in plastic working experiment in engineering experiments of fourth grade in department ofmechanical engineering is investigated. A wax material in place of an aluminum used in the conventional experiments wasused in this study and the dies were also made of acrylic resin. In addition to the forward extrusion experiments ofprevious experiments, the backward extrusion and extrusion using bridge dies were carried out. The results of this studyare as follows. The flow of material in extrusion in plastic working experiment was able to be observed by using theseacrylic resin dies. Furthermore, special extrusion using a bridge dies became possible. Students were interested in theseexperiments. A better education effect can be expected as described above.
