Description

Abstract 1. 1. Rectal temperature of the cold-acclimated Japanese macaque was kept almost constant at ambient temperatures ( T a ) of 5–25°C. 2. 2. At T a of 5–25°C internal conductance was 4.3–8.3 W/m 2 °C and external conductance 1.4-2.0 W/m 2 °C, which are about half the values of the warm-acclimated Japanese macaque. 3. 3. The metabolic responses to norepinephrine administration existed markedly in the cold-acclimated animal and less in the warm-acclimated one.
