Description
Designs in the Victorian Period in Great Britain were undergoing a state of confusion, so to speak, with the revival of designs of the past-those of Classicism, Gothic, Renaissance, and Rococo, to name just a few-on one hand, and a nascent search for modern designs on the other. How did the people of those days receive such designs left over into the 20th century and coexisted with them? In a search for clues and an analysis, the author has turned to the works by Agatha Christie, who often depicted Victorian designs for background in her novels.
