Description
After 5th century Hindu art had begun to rise over Central India where Guputa dynasty reigned over. Centering around the Cult of Saiva and Vaisvana, many stcuctured temples with the iconographical items and ornaments had expanded. Among them Saiva Art had great power through the lingas and the myths of siva illustrated, not only the Icons of Siva, but also the Sive's atendants called ganas had been much visualized during that times. In this paper I take up the images of Siva's attendants, that is sivaganas, to try to reveal their origin and functions.
