Description
Self-excited vibration of a rotating circular cylindrical shell subjected to external annular leakage flow is considered. A cylindrical shell labyrinth seal structure is considered in this research. As an analysis technique, bidirectional sequential cross interaction analysis by FEM was performed in this paper. Mesh mophing was also realized by using the ALE method for analysis of the changing flow in the labyrinth seal. By applying these techniques, it became possible to perform an analysis more accurate than the conventional approximation technique.
