Description
A circularly Polarized omnidirectional antenna consisting of a vertical sleeve dipole and three pairs of tilted parasitic elements set around it, is proposed. In this paper, after the description of the antenna principle, the condition of generating circular polarization is investigated by using an approximation theory adopting the induced electromotive force method. As an example, using a fixed spacing of a quarter wavelength between the vertical dipole and the parasitic elements, the possibility of generation of circular polarization is examined. Then the input impedance is compared with the results of the numerical analysis using the moment method and the experimental result.
