Description
The ratio of the apparent size of two stereoscopic targets were measured. On the condition that the targets have no depth cue except the binocular parallax, the ratio of apparent size did not conform to the ratio of geometrically calculated size when two targets have large binocular parallax. On the other hand, when the targets have the binocular parallax and the motion parallax as depth cues, the difference between two ratios was relatively small compared to the condition that the targets have no depth cue except the binocular parallax. This result suggests that the motion parallax is mainly used to calculate the depth instead of the binocular parallax when two targets have large binocular parallax.
