Description
An architectural overview of Cell Switch Router (CSR), which has ATM cell switching capabilities in addintion to conventional datagram fowarding, is discussed and the prototype system was developed. We show the effectiveness of cut-thru function, which is the key function of CSR, through the characteristics of actually measured packet flows. And, we realize that the CSR. prototype system has high throughput, (i.e., 2.4Gbps). CSR prototype system provide a realtime video transmission and high speed TCP session (i.e. more than 90Mbps).
