Description

It is expected that the private businesses with provide various services on B-ISDN in the future. However, conventional studies have limited their focuses on the technological aspect of the services expected on the network. This paper focuses on the Video On Demand (VOD) service, and analyzes its feasibility as a private business. To be more specific, this paper calculates the relation between the number of viewers and the price of the service by taking up two options for implementing the service, that is, Full VOD and Near VOD.
