Description

According to the progress of the digital image processing or the communication techonologies, Video On Demand(VOD) system has been implemented. This article describes the stream control method to decrease the jitter for DAVIC 1.0 compliant VOD system. At first, the stream control method which generates transmit timing synchronized with the STC in the server is described. Then, the cause is clarified how to make the sending jitter by the proposed method. The jitter value can be estimated. Finally, the jitter is mesured in the DAVIC 1.0 compliant VOD system we implemented. The results of mesurement are as follows: *the jitter value of PCR packet :less than 0.5msec *the jitter value of the other TS packet :less than 2msec
