Description
The effect of the inter-pass temperature on the strength of welded joints in steel structures was studied. The mechanical properties of deposits in the joints that were welded at different inter-pass temperatures were investigated. By measuring the temperature during the weldings of steel structures. We estimated the strength of the welded joints. The results showed that the mechanical properties of deposits welded at higher inter-pass temperatures are inferior to those welded at lower temperatures and that tensile strength deteriorates remarkably.
