Description
Formerly, Shinto/Buddhist syncretism was regarded as the inconsequent religion which assimilated foreign Buddhism into Japanese Shito. But, practically Shinto/Buddhist syncretism didn't gradually disappear with the progress of rationality. In this article, I try to declare the process that Shinto/Buddist syncretism is criticized from the new angle, through the way to focus on the local area in the Edo period.
