Description
This paper describes the properties of a TE_10metal waveguide filter using two ferrite chips. Two ferrite chips are loaded in the cutoff waveguide housing. The properties of the waveguide bandpass filter have been developed compared to that using a single ferrite chip. The filter characteristic has been analyzed by the mode-matching technique and confirmed by experiments at Q-band from 33 to 50GHz. The dynamic range of more than 30dB is obtained, the insertion loss is 1.9dB and the quality factor is more than 250 at the center frequency of the pass band f_0=46GHz. The dynamic range is improved by more than 10dB for two ferrite chips compared to that of a single ferrite chip.
