Description
Piezoelectric Transformers which transmit electrcal energy through machanical vibration are attractive electrical devices due to their imcombustibility, good isolation, low profile, and high power density. We have presented some types of Piezoelectric-Transformer Converters for AC-adaptor so far, but their efficiency was not so high due to the conduction power loss of rectifier diodes. In this paper, the efficiency improvement of this converter by using another rectifire circuit is presented. As a result, the maximum efficiency of 84% has been achieved.
