Description

This paper presents DOA(Direction of Arrival)estimation method by using harmonic structure which is a prominent feature of speech signal. It is necessary for microphone array to know DOA of speakers so as to extract speech signals. The proposed method can detect DOA of human speakers under a directional noise and sensor noise by using harmonic component such as vowel sound. Using a result of DOA estimation, beamformer can enhance each speech signals. We show an effectiveness of the proposed method through comparative simulations to the case of estimating without harmonic components.
