Description
The H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) is a spacecraft to resupply the logistic cargoes to the International Space Station (ISS). The demonstration flight will be launched in autumn 2001 and after that, the HTVs will be launched one or twice a year. The HTV rendezvous to the ISS, be captured by the robotics arm of the ISS, and berthed. While the HTV is attached to the ISS, the resupply cargo and non-reusable cargo are exchanged. Then the ISS departs the ISS and conducts the destructive reentry to the atmosphere. This paper reports the outline of HTV guidance and control system designed based on the ETS-VII.
