Description
In this paper, we propose an energy function for a fully connected complex-valued neural network. The conditions for which an energy function exists on the complex-valued neural network is investigated. We construct a scalar function and prove that it becomes the energy function. It is shown that, by using this energy function, we can analyze qualitative behaviors of the complex-valued neural network, and apply the analysis results to synthesizing complex-valued associative memories.
