Description

Advanced software development techniques such as model based development use complementary models that are expected to be consistent. However it becomes difficult to maintain consistencies among large and complex models in recent rapid changing business and technical environment. In order to improve such situation, we are examining an approximation modeling approach in which we allow some inconsistencies among models. In this paper, we point out the importance of modeling architecture for consistency management, and also examine the modeling mechanism that supports approximation modeling.
