Description

We report a clinical case of lower lip paralysis caused by a large amount of root canal filling material which a over from a root canal into canalis mandibulae accidentally. Removal of the root canal filling material, oral administration of vitamin B, stellate ganglion block, and low frequency electricity were effectively treatment for recovery of the lip paralysis. After twelve weeks of the therapy, the root canal filling materials in the mandible had disappeared from the canalis as shown by X-ray photograph, and after twenty weeks the sensation in the lower lip and skin of mental region had recovered almost completely.
