Description
This paper presents a novel light-control circuit using intermittent oscillation in the self-excited electric ballast for electrodeless fluorescent lamps. Resonant half-bridge inverter of zero-voltage-switching is used for the electric ballast. The light control circuit consists of auxiliary switch for intermittent oscillation and starting circuit of only resistance and capacitance. In the experiment of 2.65MHz, the proposed circuit controls illuminance from 100% to under 5%.
