Description

Information society and technologies have been developing rapidly. It is essentially important for university with advanced reserch and education how to cope with this information circumstances, especially, how to effectively utilize the network system as the information bases. In the university with the distributed campuses, it may be difficult to develop the network system uniformly. Howerver, it will be inevitably required to develop the integrated information network circumstances in order to maintain and develop the present information circumstances, to reduce the network cost and standardize the technology. In this paper, we look back the development of information network at Ryukoku university and describe the structure and the results of newly developed integrated information network system.
