Description
Wayside Railway-noise near a tunnel entrance might generally increase because a direct noise generated by high-speed train overlaps with reflected noise from within a tunnel entrance. In Sanyo-Shinkansen, as a countermeasure against reflected noise from within a tunnel entrance, the construction to install an acoustic absorbent material on inside ceiling and wall of tunnel entrance hood has been conducted. In this paper, the result of noise reduction effect and the influence of micro-pressure wave by this countermeasure are reported.
