Abstract

Kan Kikuchi's work, Junanbana is influenced by Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'urbervilles.　Although both writers adovocate humanism in their works, their approach on the subject is different.　By making a comparative study on both works I try to reconsider the reverence of humanity．
