ATS-ST which is added the speed check function to ATS-S on the conventional line wholly needed to be replaced because of the passage after the introduction of the system. In order to improve reliability, we have developed ATS-PT which has the continuous speed check function instead of ATS-ST that has the intermittent speed check function. ATS-PT transmits to the vehicle from the wayside coil installed in the track the distance to the stop signal, the speed limit of the curve section and so on. ATS-PT creates the brake pattern automatically according to the slowdown performance of the vehicle from the information which is received from the wayside coil installed in the track.
