Description
The labor force is shrinking now in Japan because of the falling birth rate and the aging. So that the country maydevelop sustainably under the current daunting situation, all higher education institutions need to train their students to beprofessionals with adequate basic knowledge and creativity. In order to meet this requirement, the advanced course ofTokuyama College of Technology launched a program in 2007 that organically combines manufacturing education andliberal arts education. We verified the effect with a survey of the students and confirmed the improvement ofmanufacturing education program in the advanced course.
