Maternity anxiety and general anxiety of primigravia impregrated through infertility treatment (group 1) and naturally impregrated primigravida (group 2) in the first, middle, and last stages of pregrancy were investigated, using Hanazawa's 'Questionnaire about Maternal Mentality during Pregnancy'. 1) Primigravida in the infertility-treated group in the middle stage feel strong anxiety about progress of pregnancy and fetal growth, and worry about miscarriage and proper fetal growth. 2) There is no difference between both groups, in respect with influence on mother's body. Group 2 in the last stage of pregnancy tend to feel strong anxiety about nutritional intake and fetal growth. 3) In respect with labor prospects, the group 1 in the first and middle stages feel strong anxiety about premature and abnormal delivery. 4) In respect with anticipation of childbirth, group 2 feel strong axiety in the first and middle stages about fetal growth. 5) In respect with prospects of child rearing, bodily change and their relationship with their husbands there is no difference between both groups. 6) General worries of group 1 in the first stage are : 'being nervous with palpitation' and 'being worried that something unhappy might happen', and in the last stage, 'being nervous with palpitation' and 'being excessively uneasy though nothing is wrong with them'.
