説明
We propose a framework for the organization and modelling of agents in a collaborative intelligent learning environment. The main issues concerning the design and implementation of GRACILE, a collaborative learning environment in the domain of Japanese language patterns and expressions are presented. Agents are modelled in terms of their capabilities, commitments and beliefs [Shoham 93]. The domain knowledge is distributed among domain agents which assist the learners with the appropriate application of language patterns and expressions. A set of mediator agents coordinate the communication of goals and capabilities of learners, enhancing their collaboration and progress in the domain and negotiating the learner's tasks. The learner model is considered a set of beliefs held by the mediator agent about its respective learner, and is represented based on the social learning concepts of the learner's actual and potential development levels [Vygotsky 78, Vygotsky 86]. In order to determine an intelligent negotiating position, enhance relevant collaboration and support its belief revision, the mediator agent constructs the learner's group-based knowledge frontier based on the structural and social aspects of knowledge progress in the learning group.
