我々はBiをドープしたシリカガラスの近赤外における新しい蛍光を発見した.新しい材料は光ファイバの零分散の波長領域を広くカバーしており, 組成比も石英に近いことから1.3μmの光通信用のファイバアンプのコアファイバとして期待される.
