説明
DNA-binding proteins were analysed in sera from patients with benign and malignant ovarian tumors by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Concentrations of proteins with molecular weights of 80,000 and 64,000 were selected to monitor malignancy since high levels in serum of patients were indicative of malignant disease. It was found that the value of the ratio between the DNA-binding proteins, alpha 1-antichymotrypsin and IgM, was a good index for diagnosing malignant ovarian tumors.
