Description
This report investigates signal processing of finite length digital data with zero(linear)phase IIR filters. In general,IIR filter has advantage over FIR filter in respect of hardware implementation with fewer complexity. However it requires complicated hardware,e.g.cascading a phase-equlizer,when linear phase characteristics are needed. This report presents a perfect linear phase IIR filtering and studies its effectiveness and some problems(e.g.ringing,limit cycle).
