Description
We have developed a simultaneous measurement system which enables us to measure tunneling current and displacement current separately using a vibrating scanning probe, perpendicular to sample, coupled with a 2-phase rock-in-amplifier. In this report, we propose a new method in the TSM. We directly measure the external circuit current by oscilloscope, and the TSM current is separated into tunneling current and displacement current. From the wave form of tunneling current, we can estimate the work function of sample. From the wave form of displacement current, the radius of probe, and the distance between the sample and the probe are estimated.
