Description

This paper describes the Data Communication platform (DC platform) in a distributed operations system based on TMN (Telecommunications Management Network). Our operations system has a load-share/function-share structure, and is composed of a number of server machines for high reliability, availability, serviceability, and expandable. The functions for providing API (Application Programs Interface) which hides distributed structure, and connections between NEs to applications (AP) are discussed, and we devised a scheme for the sharing of an association by several manager APs. This scheme raises three issues, that is assigning invoke IDs, delivering notifications, and managing associations. This paper suggest several systems to cover the subjects described above.
