Description
The cutting edge information and communication technology (ICT), including ambient intelligence and sensor networks, has been applied to the next generation smart architecture and buildings. In the field of architecture, there are specialized sector, such as structural and environmental engineering, planning and design, construction procedure, disaster prevention. Also, building project has a stage of planning, construction, operation and maintenance management. Applications using ICT have been developed individually, and are not collaborated organically. Smart building monitoring application subcommittee, Architectural Institute of Japan, aims to achieve smart houses, smart buildings and smart cities. We have been practical research on the monitoring system that works together in each specialized sector during the stage of building project.
